QR codes you can track and change after printing.
Make the QR code from a short link. Scans are counted like clicks, and when the destination changes, the printed code keeps working.
A QR code that points at a short link.
Create a short link
Paste the destination, give it a title and optionally add UTM parameters.
Style the QR code
Open the link's QR studio: choose colours, dot and corner shapes and add your logo.
Print and track
Download a PNG or SVG. Every scan is a click you can see in the dashboard.
Why a QR code on a short link beats a plain one.
See where scans come from
Scans by country and city, and by device, browser and system.
Change the destination
Update where the code leads without reprinting menus, flyers or packaging.
Switch it off
Archive the link when a campaign ends and the code stops redirecting.
Print-ready files
Download a high-resolution PNG or a vector SVG.
Brand colours and logo
Make the code look like part of the design instead of an afterthought.
Compact codes
Short links have fewer characters, which makes for a simpler, easier-to-scan pattern.
Count each placement separately.
A scan is counted as a click on the link behind the code. If you want to know how a flyer performed compared with a poster, create one short link, and one QR code, for each. Put the same destination behind both and you'll see their numbers side by side.
Test every code on a real phone before it goes to print, and leave a clear space around it. A QR code is only useful if it scans on the first try.
Scans and clicks share one count.
The dashboard doesn't separate scans from other clicks on the same link. That's why each QR code should have its own short link. For a code that doesn't need tracking, the free QR code generator needs no account.

Common questions
Can I change a QR code's destination after printing it? +
Yes, when the code is made from a short link. Edit the destination in the dashboard and the printed code keeps working.
How do you track QR code scans? +
Make the QR code from a short link. Every scan opens that link, which is counted as a click, and you see the totals and the country, device and referrer breakdowns on the link's statistics page.
Can you track a QR code that is already printed? +
Only if it was made from a trackable link. A QR code that contains the destination address directly can't be tracked or changed afterwards. Create a short link, generate a new code from it and replace the old one.
Does the QR code expire? +
No. It works for as long as the link is active. Archiving the link stops it.
Which file formats can I download? +
PNG for most uses, including print, and SVG when you need a vector file.
Is the plain QR code generator also tracked? +
No. The free generator makes a static code for any content and doesn't use a short link, so it can't be tracked or edited afterwards.
